Hi Arthur,

DF> Yeah, that's about what it comes down to - catering to the IBM/Windows

DF> market is enough to make something successful. To be honest, I'm more

DF> enamoured to Wildcat than Excalibur. It's much closer to a web-based

DF> system and actually offers web content as an integrated part of the

 DF> system (it's basically a web-based BBS I guess).

AS> Do you know if there is there any way to connect with these boards

AS> using an Amiga and not the dedicated Wondows software?

At this point of time, I have heard of nothing other than the special comms
package that runs under windows only.

That to me is a very hopeful way to run a BBS, as you're then stuck only to
get people running windows call the BBS.

AS> I read in one newsgroup that it was possible, but never got a reply

AS> to my request for further details.

Oh yes, of course it is possible, but I truly doubt that we'll ever see
something for the Amiga though.

On the same or similar direction, I hear PowerBBS (I think that's the one),
will actually let you log in with a web browser, which opens it up to all
platforms. From there you can access the net from there on in.

C u laitr
