aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!!
Aren't banannas rich in Potassium, the "K" in N-P-K, and hence
good at inhibiting disease?
I write as one who learned this sort of stuff just last Monday in
my adult-ed gardening class.
We were taught that the ratios like 20-20-20 and 4-2-1 were
ratios of Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium, and that:
Nitrogen promotes green growth
Phosphorous promotes flower production and root growth
Potassium aids in disease resistance
