Well, It's finally surfaced. "Australian Multimedia and Desktop Video" is here. I picked up a copy at McGills here in Melb. OK, It looks rather flash and trendy, has a fairly reasonable number of pages and claims to support Amiga, Mac and PC. In this issue there was no Mac content, for which they apologised and will correct in the next issue. The Amiga was mentioned a fair bit, though I would have to say it was mentioned in a very negative light. In one place Amiga users were reccomended to "Put their Amiga on a shelf and wait 'till it becomes a valuable antique...unless you have an A4000 with all the knobs" They claimed to have had very little Amiga news to print....yet there was no mention of Pios, Phase 5, the new Eagle "Amiga-based" machines etc...at least from what I saw. There were plenty of advertisements for Amiga stuff, though. I guess that advertisements featuring Amiga specific and Amiga-useable stuff outnumbered PC-only ads by 4:1. I think OZ Multimedia had better be careful not to rub Amiga users (and advertisers) up the wrong way... Lets see how they go after they have got a few more issues under their belt, though I fear that might be quite a wait!
