The only difference is windows update will use less bandwidth because it
will only download the files you need. The full Network install includes
all of SP2 plus all the patches that came before it which you probably have
installed already.
But to give you a straight answer, I would trust the Network install
version more than Windows Update. I think it's a more error resistant way
to apply all the patches. It doesn't bother to check if you have something
installed, it just installs all of them.
