Adaptec is pretty much the industry standard.

1542 for an ISA bus
2842 for a VESA bus
2942 (or is it 2940?) for PCI.

Some PCI MB have a SCSI interface onboard.  Dunno how compatible they are.

Rosh Tech at West End has them listed in their latest price list (but
that's at work and I don't remember the prices).
