It really depends on the driver and hardware... some host adapters have more
limitations than others.  However, they are still making updated drivers and
with those you can often get drives just about as big as you want.  If you use
Mint or Linux even better.  If you want to get more specific on what you have
or what you want to do, just let me know and I'll do my best to help.
