Hello!
If it weren't for parking, I'd probably drive a lot more often. The downtown
and campus area here is very bad for parking, since they started developing
before cars were common. (Although, that DOESN'T explain why parking around
the hospital where I work is so bad-- it was built in the mid to late 1970s,
and cars were rather common by then!)
Since my bike does have shocks (I just plain couldn't justify the extra
expense, or I would definitely got 'em, liking gadgets the way I do!) I don't
have a problem with them freezing up. I HAVE had a problem with water
etting
into my SOCKS, however. I spent last Friday with my feet squishing around in
my shoes due to forgetting to stick an extra pair in my bag....
I'll have to try the trick of keeping shifting. When I leave my apartment
at 5:20ish in the morning, my bike starts out warm, but cools off rather
quickly, which is when the shifting starts to decline. Oddly enough, I
haven't noticed the problem when coming home. I don't know if it is that
much warmer, or if I am just not noticing it due to being anxious to get away
from work!
Thanks for the reply!
