I caught this show on tv last night,  where a school district in Texas had
decided that *all* students would undergo random drug testing,  in an
effort to deal with their problems.  *ONE* parent refused to return a
signed permission slip,  figuring that his kid didn't need to be subjected
to that kind of thing.

It led to a court case,  one which if the board had won would've set a
precedent that could have applied all over the country.  They didn't win, 
they lost.

The guy wasn't too popular,  lost his job,  got his dog shot at with
paintball,   and was threatened,  and I admire him for what he did.
