JK> I figure to keeps these indoors. They get everything a regular garden
JK> could give them, without the pests :) It's all done with hydroponics
JK> and indoor (extensive) plant lights, that's what makes it so great. No
JK> dirt, no bugs.
I was thinking more in the line of having them available to eat
earlier... not thinking about transplanting... :)
JK> There is a limit of sorts of they kinds of things you
JK> can grow (I think tubers will be out, haven't tried that) but maybe I
JK> will try it eventually. For now, I'm fine with the plants I have
JK> growing: Genovese basil, thai basil, chives, two kinds of parsley, 4
JK> kinds of lettuce, 3 kinds of tomatoes (two cherry and I think 1 regular
JK> tomato) :)
Nice selection there... ;)
>>> Are you going to plant peas in one of them....?
>> No, I don't think so.. not right away at least.
> Besides, you can plant them outside in another month or so... without
> too much effort... :)
JK> I probably won't bother.
Unless when the time comes, you just can't let it go after all... (G)
>> I do have a "trellis" with the aerogardens :) Once the cherry tomato
>> plants get going, I'll connect them.
> Give them something to grow on...
JK> Yes. The tomato plant flowers are going nuts right now, so I ordered
JK> a pollinator for them. Don't forget, no bees in the house Lol
As you said, no bugs... (G)
>> I think these aerogardens are going to be good for things like leaf
>> lettuce/cherry tomatoes, peppers, green onions...
> All your basic salad items.... except for the root veggies... :)
JK> I watched some videos of people's experiences with these aerogardens.
JK> Some people get the dardest things to grow in them :) :)
Tubers, even...?
>> Seeing how much water the leaf lettuce uses is a trip :)
> How many quarts a day....? (G) Helps you see how much water really is
> in a leaf of lettuce... ;)
JK> When the lettuce starting really growing bigger than a small planting,
JK> it started sucking up water like crazy :) Hydroponics, no dirt ... so
JK> it makes sense :)
Exactly... nothing to mask what's happening... ;)
