I've read both pro and con about the sharpie. Most seem to feel it's ok an
later blanks that have a added layer of protection - most do nowdays.
Someof the early blanks, and I suspect those old 'gold' ones that Fry's
used to sell, have only a very thin layer of protection on the top and that
is at risk.

Yeah, been reading about that one.:) I can pass on that for now. :)

TW> The biggest problem with that one was it used part of the Data layer

But it takes a special burner, correct? Not worth the cost to me at this
time. Maybe if this drive craps out I might take a look at whats out there
then. :)

Hey, I've been doing a lot of that this week! My old gas lawnmower crapped
out so I've ordered a Brill battery powered guy from back east - 330 bucks
I didn't need to spend. :(

This brill machine is made in Germany and is considered the rolls of
mowers, the only reel, battery powered mower made. Lots of electric types,
but they are those rotary blade things and don't work well on Bermuda
grass.

Then Thursday cracked a tooth, so that means a crown that my lousy
insurance won't even pay half on. Tuesday one of hearing aides crapped
out, but that's free to repair.:)

Last Monday went out to the garage and here was a small stream of water
running down the middle of the floor - the damn flex copper line to the hot
water heater had a pin hole in it - and that's the second flex copper I've
replaced in less than a year. Now using the stainless steel flex line and
hope they work better? If not, I'll sweat copper but that's a mess to do.
