nOT lecting CDROM in the bios, after the verify line,it says "boot from

HD1,HD1,HD2 etc. you can choose
"harddrive" drom amongst cdrom,floppy.LS120.etc.When you select
"Harddrive" as one or more of
the choices,a second line above the selection is activated. Here you cam
put the hard drives in
the order in which you boot.It will boot from floppy,if yoi have
ytselected and boorup floppy

start boot manager, but will boot from thr floppy.
Looks to me like the same problem with my sister's Giga-Byte motherboard
before a BIOS flash fixed it, and my Abit motherboard after a flash to
the newest BIOS version broke it. In both, the problem is "solved" by
doing one of two things:
1-attach a SCSI HD to the SCSI cable
2-remove the SCSI HBA from the system
I discussed this BIOS bug with support at LSI Logic. They say this is a
common motherboard BIOS defect that they are powerless to do anything
about.
