contro;;er1,Maxtor 40 gig 7200rpm master controller 2.dvd/cd rom slave
comntroller 2. Segate 80 gig on SATA controller If I leave out the cd,even
nOT lecting CDROM in the bios, after the verify line,it says "boot from
CD" It will not see the boot manager at all. This board dores not have
a choice to boot HD1,HD1,HD2 etc. you can choose "harddrive" drom
amongst cdrom,floppy.LS120.etc.When you select "Harddrive" as one
or more of the choices,a second line above the selection is activated. Here
you cam put the hard drives in the order in which you boot.It will boot
from floppy,if yoi have ytselected and boorup floppy seek enabled.Even if I
choose harddrive, harddrive, floppy,it will not start boot manager, but will
boot from thr floppy.

You should be sure that the drive containing BM is jupered to be
Primary Master. The second HD should be Primary Slave, the CD is
- when you have only 1 or 2 HDs: Secondary Master
- else it would be Secondary Slave.

Does your mainboard BIOS shown the real capacity of the drive?
Is the drive itself set as LBA? Anything else may not work.

Is the BM set as bootable?

When the underlying partiton is NOT a primary you MUST have MB set as
bootable. When the volume eCS is on is on a primary partiton you may
still set that as bootable, living the BM off.

Be sure that your boot volume (eCS)/partiton (WARP prior 4.51) is
known by BM

You can play around a bit:
- remove BM
- create a primary partiton instead the now empty space, set
   it bootable
- install DOS there
- gets DOS (DR-DOS (freely downloadable from internet), MS-DOS) booted?
- if NOT you've a hardware or mainboard BIOS problem
      fix this!
- if YES: remove the partiton, create BM instead again

In eCS/WARP config.sys:
be sure that ibm1s506/danis506.add is before the SCSI driver

Whjen the boot of eCS/WARP fails anyway change config.sys from
ibm1s506.add to danis506.add or reverse. It is known that on some
mainboard/hd combination one or the other driver fails to work. So
whenever you have danis use IBM, when IBM use danis.
