With REXX, you have a theoretical string size limit of 4 gigabytes.
Practically speaking it will of course be much lower. OS/2 v2.0 and v2.1
restricts each running process to a 512 megabyte memory limit. This is of
course, typically greater than the available virtual space in your average
desktop environment.

In simplest terms, you can happily go on allocating 'TOTAL's until you run
out of virtual memory.

I have no idea what actually happens when you run into that wall with a
REXX program, although it would certainly be an interesting experiment...
