Hi, Peter. Thanks much for your insights on the questions I was asking in regard to Real-Time apps using OS/2. I will remember the timings you gave. In the past, on mainframes, especially for IBM, mainframes, multi-taking os's had the capability to define a high priority process (i.e. a task) that the os would give to that high priority task - for "real-time" tasks. The general title to these specially defined high priority tasks were referred to as TP (telcommunication Processes). Does any similar definion exist within OS/2 for high priority - aka "real-time" tasks? I presume that somewhere in IBM's OS/2 literature - and perhaps in the C++ literature "real-time" is addressed - where might that be for both OS/2 and C++, Peter? Would you have any contact information for the company that produces VXWorks, Peter? Thanks much for your help and sharing your experience on these matters.
