Valid point, but the actual point where you come unstuck. How can you,

at your end, take into account all the variables from each caller.

The "real world" frightens me, but I'm buggered if your
"testing" is going

to fix that. And I'm happy to say that it's not my problem, I poll from

a Courier.



It's just I've never seen/heard of a sysop/point having so many problems

with such an assorted variety of modems.
