I don't know about the Pierce-Arrow but now I will have to go back to the
library and look up the LaSalle again. I went in some time ago and copied
the page about the 40 and I know there were model years after 1940 for the
LaSalle. I think probably 1942. I do have some literature about Buick
having an automatic in 1937 or 38. Oh well, talk to you later,
