MP> Forgive me for saying this, Louis, but you should have paid closer MP> attention MP> to the writing on the wall 10 years ago, when Turbo Pascal was still MP> stuck in MP> DOS (like it is now) while C compilers were available on every platform MP> known MP> to Man (like they are now). :-) By stubbornly refusing to abandon Pascal MP> for MP> a language that is better suited for serious, cross-platform development, MP> you MP> have effectively become the proverbial "man painting himself into a MP> corner". As someone that just stepped up from Pascal to C++, I find your musings ¨arrogant. I found that Pascal was suited for serious development, and with ¨intels being 80% of my particular market, cross-platform wasn't the issue. I don't believe OS/2 will be without a pascal compiler for very long (TopSpeed ¨rumoured to have a 32-bit compiler on the way and Stony Brook not far behind). ¨Whether or not they match the funtionality of Borland's bastardization remains ¨to be seen. And getting a C program to cross the platform is not nearly as pretty as these ¨high and mighty C programmers would have you believe. Jon MiND iNK. ...
