AA> Hi, I'm starting to program graphics in assembly AA>and I was just wondering if I'd have to change anything AA>(BIOS calls, screen calls) when doing it in OS/2 or is ASM AA>exactly the same as in DOS. There are two API's (Application Program Interfaces) in OS/2 for graphics, for PM graphics, there is GpiXxxxx and for full screen graphics there is VioXxxxx. Generally you use these to do graphics. There isn't really a BIOS you can use, although you can still do direct access to video hardware ports - again this is recommended only for the very advanced. If you are just learning assembler, I would recommend sticking with DOS for graphics for now - it will let you do some pretty amazing stuff. If you want to use C, then go play with OS/2's graphics. You might also check into the DIVE spec for OS/2 - it is interesting. Rob. ___ X SLMR 2.1a X WindowError:001 Windows loaded. System in danger. --- Maximus/2 2.01wb* Origin: The Idle Task...
