Everything after the 2001 version sucked bigtime but nobody wanted to hear
it at the ISP. Then finally they started getting all these infected
customers who were running Norton and now pretty much everyone at the ISP
is convinced I was right.

They went wrong when they started checking every file every time it's
changed in any way. AVG only checks when the file is being written or read
but something as simple as a backup that marks files as backed up can send
NAV into a cpu fit. I don't know much about how AV software gets notified
of changes but AVG and NAV are clearly using different methods and AVG's
seems to work great without all the cpu hogging.

That and the fact that NAV got too popular and became the target of every
virus writer.. and the biweekly updates instead of as needed..
