That's really a shame...as I think for Fido to grow/survive, we need to use
all the technology that's available to us.
This quest of mine is an example. I could easily and cost-effectively host
a significant number of BBS systems IF there was an easy to
install/configure/use package that would live under Linux on a remote
server.
Not everyone has a full time/high speed connection to the Internet, but the
above approach would allow folks to have a BBS e ven if all they had, like
myself, is an antiquated dial-up connection.
