TV>I am in need of some help with my garbabe disposal. It's nothing major or

I

The GE disposal in our kitchen sink is >35 years old and still running
fine after we have raised three children (and are working on a couple
grandchildren now 8-)
One hint for cleaning a disposal is to grind up several ice cubes now
and then, to loosen remains possibly caught under the cutters. And then
some good hot water to clean out colligated grease products. I run
ours when I dump the soapy dish water through it (and our clothes washer
and electric dish washer waters pass through it and I often run the
disposal when the wash water cycles through it so a certain amount of
chlorine bleach also does it thing). Another hint is to grind up some
lemon peels with out water for a few seconds and then finish with some
cold water.
Ciao, Ack.
