RA>There are 2 of us here in Melb. that are looking at that very thing. RA>Rather than any special hardware and/or software, we propose to just RA>connect the PC's serial port to the C64's serial port, and have a RA>background job running to receive and interpret C64 disk commands. I'm interested in this kind of thing too. I suspect the parallel port on the pc/amiga would be a better option. X1541 uses it very sucessfully. Maybe we should contact the author of this prog for info? What I want is sort of the opposite of X1541. Instead of the pc reading the 1541, the c64 should 'read' the pc. But obviously it would be better if the pc/amiga emulated a cmd HD and not just a 1541.. RA>Actually, my mate has an Amiga which he'd like to use, and I have 2 RA>PCs. We don't anticipate it being a major project, but time is in RA>rather short supply at present :( And I've got an old pc with 60megs of hard drive just waiting for 64 programs (: cya Errol --- Ezycom V1.05 00f90038* Origin: WOW BBS - Commodore Suport, Sydney's West (3:713/888) SEEN-BY: 50/99 54/54 640/316 711/807 808 809 929 934 712/623 713/317 700 805 SEEN-BY: 713/888 @PATH: 713/888 54/54 711/808 809 |
