eCS boot manager. In fact,I have tto keep the eCS install cd in the cd rom
nd go through "boot from hard disk" before I can get the BMmenue.
I am going to dump itfor a Gigabyte or a DFI. The bios chip, btw,is a
PHOENIX chip.

Move the SCSI controller on another PCI slot. When you have more than
one PCI slot in use play around with the slots. You'll find at least
one combination that lets you boot from SCSI ID0, 1. primary partiton
= BootManager. With - or without the BIOS message "Drive 1 not found".

When the message occures you must press the Enter key to continue.

O.k., it is possible that you have first to do these steps to be sure
you have the eCS BM active:
1. boot up from eCS CD1 onto commandline or open maintenace console
    from installer (shift + F3)
2. in LVM (not LVMGUI): remove BM, end LVM with save
3. fire up LVM again and install BM
4. insert all bootable, compatible volumes into BM
(may be LVM does this for you magically)
5. be sure BM partiton is set as active!
6. end LVM with save
7. remove eCS CD from drive and CAD

Go into the mainboard BIOS and check the boot order.
One of them must be SCSI
- 1. floppy - try to switch to NONE
- 2. BBS0 or CD - dito
- 3. SCSI
- 4. NONE
