Greetings Struther,
AH>> Huh? Surprise party destruction? Wha'd'ya mean? I don't even
know
AH>>who Eileen is and I haven't been to the National all year.
SM> What do I mean?... well, where'dya get the name "Eileen" from?... I
SM> never said it! Aha! Gotcha - run rings around you logically!
---------
I just made it up - a coincidence I guess. "Logically" maybe you do
have one up on me... you may even have a word or two more than I in
your vocabulary, like "obtuse" (or was that "obtruse"?), you confuse me.
But when it comes to neatly inserting one's foot in one's mouth, ya got to
admit, I'm a tough cookie to beat . Speaking of which, I'll likely be
travelling across the top of your town first week in April - anything going
on I best not know about? I'll expect to be at the National for pints
either Friday or Saturday night for sure - maybe I'll get to annoint you
guys with seawater this time :^)
--------------------
AH=> I ran into "Screech" the other day - you
AH>>know, the Beneteau from NYC. It was kind of odd seeing it here, but here
AH>>it is and all ready for a busy charter season.
SM> So that's where SCREECH got to!... I knew we had some strong winds these
SM> past few months but I would never have imagined them blowing a 34'
SM> Beneteau THAT far!
----------
Think of what your Jeanneau could do! Actually, SCREECH was sold
last August then trucked to the west. Transport cost (since there's always
someone inquiring about trucking costs), was $15,000. Yup, you heard
right. It would have cost half if the trucking company had been able to
find a second boat to share the trailor, but such was not the case this
time. SCREECH was purchased for about $60,000, but out here, the market
value is about $90,000 so the enormous shipping cost is more palatable. So
I ask myself the question: "What the hell am I looking for a boat out here
for?!"
Cheers,
Augustin~~~===
