Good day to you, Roy. RJT> I have a thought of getting a laptop from time to time, but haven't RJT> decided to yet. It's just not that much of an issue with me. And it RJT> probably won't be for some time yet. Roy, I saw your reply to and do let me pipe in. I would not be without a laptop. These machine are just as powerful as most desktop and the only clitch that I have found is that the numerical pad is a bit awkward to use. I have had up to 8 Thinkpads over the years, of many models and configurations. This one here now runs an 800 MHz CPU and I can not type that fast. It has 196 Mgs of RAM and in MY use, I never fill it up. In a word, it does all that my desktop will do and is portable. It follows me all over the world and I move a lot. The next one that I will get will have an RW+ DVD for safe keeping. I got this one on eBay at $305.00 when new it was IBM list priced at $1449.00, one year old. The 'amateur' seller could not even use Windows. ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.12 --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
