-> BB> Look at any insert and you see -> BB> one of the big no-no's is to put them in places where they have wild -> BB> temp swings - and I think a hot car would fill that bill nicely. -> LE> The NTIS has a report available on the web that says that using sticky -> LE> back labels on CD-Rs and CD=RWs will cause trouble as well. Something -> LE> about an average life of 5 years if that's done. -> My understanding is the sticky stuff fails to hold and when it pulls away -> from the disk the reflective layer goes with it. :( Kiss that sucker -> goodbye! -> I use a sharpie which seems to be ok. Yuo are on Thin Ice though. the "Solvent" in the Sharpie is a little strong for real archives of the stuff you really don;t to loose. But the Furute holds something for you. Someone is going to produde CD-R media with a layer on the Label side that can be burned into a Label with a CD burner comming on the market. Kinda like the one that came and went in the Market. The biggest problem with that one was it used part of the Data layer for the Burned label so it reduced the capacity of the CD. The new one you just take the Special Media out and turn it over and burn thew label. Of course there will be NO free after rebate Cd's and at first you wil lpay through the Nose for the media! :-) :-) But you cannot have everything and "MY" president needs the Re-Circulation of the Money for the Economy. :-) :-) --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Shakey Jake's *ALL FREE BBS* Santee, CA (1:202/1324) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 202/1324 10/3 106/2000 633/267 |
