| subject: | Newer MB`s and EMM Memor |
-> Over a period of years (decades?) I have tried various utilities -> claiming to use the hard drive to supply EMM to DOS. None have -> worked as well as I had hoped and most are LIM v3.0 and not LIM v4.0 -> as is most often required by DOS applications. -> I would suggest that the easy way out of this dilema would be to -> keep a healthy '486 or even early Pentium machine available for this -> task rather than fight to get it going on newer hardware? I little further study is bring me to that conclusion. But a little late as I just donated 5 machines, 1 Pent 120, 2 Pent 233MMX's and 2 Pent 400's to a small local Employment group. The Mechine I was thinking of upgrading to a Duron 1.4 is already running on a Pent 400 so I will stay with it for a while longer. That group is presently running DOS software but is going Windows this year mose likely. I just was just trying to get a little ahead in the game. :-) :-) --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Shakey Jake's *ALL FREE BBS* Santee, CA (1:202/1324) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 202/1324 10/3 106/2000 633/267 |
