> _______________ Jolly Postman. Little Brown,
> 1986
I love this one! Readers should be cautioned that it's possibly hard to find
in your public library because of all the extra "pieces" to the book. It's
about $10 and may just be one to buy.
> Brett, Jan The Mitten. Putnam, 1989
It's fun to do a study on the various versions of the story of "The Mitten".
> Carle, Eric Do You Want To Be My Friend?
I love Eric Carle's artistry!!!
> Bread And Jam For Frances.
I read this one over and over to Jennifer when she was about four. She loved
the story. For a long while, we went through a similar stage with her. The
stage ended after I read her this book for the first time.
> Mayer, Mercer A Boy, A Dog, And A Frog. Dial,
> 1967
Don't forget his "Little Critter" books. For preschoolers, they are
wonderful! We had a huge collection of them (and I still have them). Little
Critter expresses a lot of feelings that preschoolers have for themselves.
> Raffi Wheels On The Bus. Crown, 1988
There's a better one out there, but I can't remember who put it out. It has
real moving parts...the windows go up, the door opens, the wheels go round
and round. I have the Raffi one but this other one is intriguing to kids!
> Martin Jr., Bill Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do
> You See?
Have you heard Greg and Steve's song based on this book?
