You may remember some months ago the ABC segment on 20/20 in
which children were given Eddie Eagle gun avoidance
instruction and then placed in a room that contained hidden
guns to see if they would play with the guns. In that
segment the children did, in fact, play with the guns. This
was held out as proof that children cannot be trained to
avoid firearms. The conclusion was that we need legislation
to require that gun owners buy and use trigger locks and gun
safes.

The dirty little secret is that the Allentown police officer
who gave the Eddie Eagle instruction was not allowed to at 4pm Nov. 8
in Prosser
Auditorium, Moravian College (info
610-625-6047 or 610-882-5058). We

REPEAT.....THAT IS 4PM Nov. 8th, 1999

complete the entire program with the children. In fact, he
was only allowed to give the children a very abbreviated
version of the course.

The psychologist (Marjorie Hardy) who set up this bogus
experiment will be presenting a lecture on children and guns

We strongly urge everyone to attend this free event in order
ask pertinent questions and politely challenge any false
statements.

We need everyone's help to let our voices be heard above the
plaintiff bleating of the anti-gun, anti-freedom sheep. If
we do not show up to defend the 2nd Amendment, the game is
automatically forfeited to the anti's who will command all
of the media's attention.

The media will be there so dress professionally and act
accordingly. Remember, the media thinks we're a bunch of
knuckle-draggin', cousin-lovin', camo wearin', red-neck,
gun nuts. Let's not reinforce their image of us.

The Allentown Morning Call carried the notice of this
meeting in the Monday 18 Oct edition in the Local section.
