LR> I am not sure how you concluded it is not a OS/2 related issue? LR> Didn't I say that in the client specs they claim VxWorks is suppose LR> to run on OS/2 and/or UNIX for this Real-Time process control LR> project? That is why I brought these questions to this OS/2 echo. VxWorks is a stand-alone operating system. I have used it on Force VME 68020, 68030, and 68040 boards. It is available for a wide range of other target systems, however, including VME SPARC boards. I don't see how VxWorks has anything to do with OS/2 aside from having a few somewhat similar features here and there, but that's typical of many operating systems. LR> Still I do get the FidoNet Embedded echo and that is a durn good LR> suggestion. In my few casual forrays on that echo I did meet a few LR> outstanding guys who seem to make a living out of specializing in LR> Real-Time Embedded Systems - unlike me. Beats me how they do THAT. I used to work for a company that at the time was doing around $4-5 million per year in business in real-time embedded systems. Since then, they have doubled or tripled in size and most of their work is still real-time systems. --- Maximus/2 2.01wb* Origin: OS/2 Connection {at} Mira Mesa, CA (1:202/354) SEEN-BY: 12/2442 54/54 620/243 624/50 632/348 640/820 690/660 711/409 410 413 SEEN-BY: 711/430 807 808 809 934 942 712/353 623 713/888 800/1 @PATH: 202/354 301 1 3615/50 229/2 12/2442 711/409 54/54 711/808 809 934 |
