      Bush is entering his second term, assuming he wins by the
predicted landslide this fall, and will be ineligible to run for
relection again as Governor of Texas.  His shot is 2000, maybe 2004 if
he makes a good second place run for the nomination in 2000, but 2008
is too far removed to allow his continued occupancy of the limelight.
2008 to George Bush Jr. will be like 2000 to Colin Powell.  We will
remember the name, but we can't quite put a face to it.  He WAS someone
important once wasn't he?
