NB>> We still aren't getting a lot of snow... just flurries
NB>> mostly, and it's been quite cold, with windchills below zero...
BS> Yesterday morning we got Chinook winds here. There were tales, i.e.
BS> newspaper accounts, of people ice skating in their T-shirts. I know
BS> somewhere along the line I glanced at the thermometer and the outside
BS> temperature was 49.
Well, that IS positively balmy, especially in Alaska... ;)
BS> Cooled off overnight and started snowing about 3am
BS> on top of the newly established ice. I managed to get to rehab at 9am,
BS> no snow tires, and stopped for milk/bread about noon on the way home.
BS> Based on the roads at that time, and it's still snowing, I expect I
BS> might have to call a cab for tomorrows rehab session. But I have hopes
BS> of driving it, the roads here in the complex are well
BS> plowed/sanded/maintained and after about 200yds I'm on a major artery
BS> the city jumps all over early.
And were you able to drive it after all...? Or did you have to take a
cab....? I find I'm not as intrepid as I once was, especially with bad
weather... although I usually manage anyway....
NB>> ... Breakfast in Paris, lunch in Greece, luggage in Japan...
BS> :-) Connie and I flew into Honolulu one time from someplace down in
BS> Oceania. No suitcase for Bill! Luckily they caught it in LA and
BS> brought it back to me, I was told the next stop for that plane was
BS> London. That's the only time my bag ever decided to travel on without
BS> me.
And thankfully it was caught before it got too far away.... :) Guess it
learned its lesson... ;)
BS>> Wine Appreciation Tip: The quality of a wine is inversely proportional
BS>> to the viciousness of the animal depicted on the label.
BS>> Jim Weller
Does that mean that if there is a sheep on the label it will be higher
quality... ;)

... Jam on a winter took away the blue devils. It was like tasting summer.
