Boot the machine with a clean write protected boot disk with FDISK and SYS on
it.
Rename C: drive Autoexec.bat and Config.sys to something else.
Assuming you don't have Disk Manager or similar software to help your system
recognise disks larger than 504MB, do the following.
*Using TBAV (Thunderbyte), use "TBUTIL im C:" Alternatively, use "FDISK/MBR".
*Using SYS.COM, type "SYS C:"
The PC is now ready to boot up. Do so.
Now scan the disk and make sure it is indeed clean as far as the boot
sequence is concerned.
If that is so, now you can scan the drive and replace all executable and
command files, overlays etc that have the virus, from backups or original
disks.
