That's the point.  Even flat-footed, his glove was only a foot or so below 
the top of the fence (I'm 6'3" and can touch my 8-foot ceiling with my 
fingers, standing flat-footed).  He could have easily jumped to make up the 
difference, if the ball was headed above his glove.  And considering he was 
standing there, waiting on the ball, I find it VERY hard to believe that he 
had misjudged it.
