TS> I am new to Delphi (new to programming period actually) and am in
di
TS>need of some reference material. Throughout the Delphi manual and
nother
TS>book Delphi for Dummies, the authors make many references to Delphi and
Wind
TS>API function calls. I have found a very good reference to some of these
TS>functions in the online help, but I would prefer a list on paper of these
TS>function. Printing a windows help file is an exercise in futility with
gobs
TS>wasted paper space. Does anyone out there know of a *.txt file that lists
m
TS>of the Delphi and the common Windows functions along with a brief
descriptio
TS>and a syntax example with parameters and results? This would greatly
shorte
TS>the learning curve for Delphi 2.0. Thanx in advance.
Several of the more advanced Delphi books deal with API programming, but
as far as I know, there is no book (or text file) that would serve as a
reference on this. (A new book, not yet in print the last time I
checked, Delphi 3 Super Bible MIGHT serve this purpose, but it
apparently won't be out before the new version ships.) About the only
two alternatives seem to be the help files, or get one of the advanced
texts, and a good book on the Windows API, and work through it.
