Hi Johnathan:
Is CSET++ an "unbelieveable memory hog" because it does more
optimizing in memory, or is it just an "unbelieveable memory hog?" This
is a matter of intellectual curiosity only, as I don't use C++.
Real question: I do use CSET++ "C" for writing REXX "external
function" DLLs. I compile them with the "/Rn" (subsystem) switch,
because my DLLs have no need of the missing C "environment" material,
and I'm so old that I still like the thought of saving 12K of committed
memory. Do any of the other compilers you have looked at have a similar
capability?
Thanks.
