It started out simply as a way to allow users to do interactive FREQs and grew
from there in a series of "it would sure be easy to just..." steps.  I'm not
aware of any problems using binkd with Synchronet.

But really, I'm writing BinkIT for the same reason I write anything else --
it's fun.
