Hi Jonathan,
On Jonathan de Boyne Pollard wrote to Kelly Schrock:

/ does act like \ in filenames:
#include
#include
void main()
{
FILE *fin;
if ((fin=fopen("c:/cprog/os2/sl.c", "r")) ==
(FILE*) NULL)
printf("Can't find c:/cprog/os2/sl.c\n");
else
{
printf("c:/cprog/os2/sl.c is found and opened\n");
fclose (fin);
}
}
Then run it:
C:\CPROG\OS2>sl.exe
c:/cprog/os2/sl.c is found and opened
The advantages are:
- it prevents double slashes like "c:\\cprog\\os2".
- Unix compatible
