Thanks for the information.  I don't think I have to worry about the banana 
peels going down the garbage disposal, bananas don't last long enough around 
my house to worry about putting them down the sink...:)  If I'm gonna husk 
corn, it's gonna be outside with a big garbage can and garbage bag.  I just 
wasn't sure how much baking soda to use.  Never thought about the lemon 
eels,
but it makes sense.  Thanks.
