Don't have a T20, however I recall similar problems when moving my
installation from an older Simens-Nixdorf machine to a ThinkPad 770Z.
Apparently a resource conflict occurs.

I doubt there have been any new development since 1996. I'm using this
one:

11/08/95  17:56      29983           0  elpc3.os2

The MPTS LAPS package is at WR08400. Need to say that this driver is
absolutely non-APM-aware.

I've fiddled with the PC Card Director for some time before I realized
that the real solution would be to stamp out the excessive AI of
Plug'n'Play:

(1) Strictly specify the resources in PROTOCOL.INI

[elpc3os2_nif]

   DriverName = ELPC3$
   IOADDRESS = 0x300
   INTERRUPT = 9
   MaxTransmits = 20

(2) Run IBM's ThinkPad Configuration Utility. Ensure that the same IRQ
and port ranges are not owned by any other device by moving all
integrated hardware away from IRQ9.

Keep in mind that 770s, an older generation lasting from 1997, have been
packed with ISA devices, therefore I can't vouch that the same solution
will work for "T", "A", or whatever series they have today.
