  The beauty of this, is that the Country Party will run a survey to
find out what happened, and the truth will set them free. In the old
days they just made up a story they could sell to the supporters, but
nowadays they actually do it right... and make up the story later.

  It's funny. I saw the actual results fo a survey when they lowered
the voting age to 18 (was 21). At the time, they were predicting that
18-year-olds would support Labor and change. In fact, they were more
conservative than their elders, but split pretty evenly anyway. I
think lobby-groups are all shit. The raving poofs claim they represent
100,000 votes but in fact the poofs split down the middle in their
votes just like everyone else.

  There was another example in Concord, with the Mayoral vote. The
Mayor of Concord is a fuckwit who attacked the pensioners. They held
meeting and swore revenge at the election, but the fuckwit mayor was
returned with an increased majority. When it came to the crunch the
pensioners voted as people rather than pensioners. And now Mum reports
them as saying: "I'm sorry I voted for the prick." They should *not*
have voted for him! But they did.
