Well, I guess from here it's all downhill till Christmas. No, not the
market--daylight! Yesterday was the longest day of the year. Some of
us need to enjoy it while we can--by Christmas we'll be down to 8 hours
of daylight and 16 hours of dark.

Today's market could hardly get out of its own way. It was basically
flat until late afternoon, then the Big Money boys came in to do what
they'd been planning all day, and they were selling, not buying. Prices
fell. Volume was -16% below average again, so it wasn't as though there
was any panic selling. Nobody wants to buy stocks.

Normally interest in the market and volume wane during summer, but don't
use that as an excuse to ignore the market for a couple months. Things
could fall apart, and you know they fall fast. You need to keep aware
of what's going on and protect yourself.

Timing Signals: I don't use or recommend timing signals, but they're
fun to watch. If I did though, well, I might use something like this.
(Be warned!! It tends to whipsaw around signal points!)

Last Signal: BUY Date: 05/25/04 S&P: 1113
