Keith,
KL> CJ> Anyone compared the PC version of POWERSLAVE, to the Saturn version
KL> CJ> (called Exhumed in the UK)? The PC version uses the Build engine,
nd
KL> CJ> I think the Saturn uses a special version as well.
KL> CJ> Well it certainly puts to sleep the console vs PC debate - whereas
he
KL> CJ> Saturn version is very fast, slick with lots of cool FX like light
KL> CJ> source shading...the PC version is a bit of a duffer - although on PC
KL> CJ> you get the benefit of multiplay.
KL>I didn't think the game was terribly good on PC anyway. The movement was
KL>(is?) reminiscent of Wolf3d, the way the character walks. The only thing
KL>like about it is the monster that appears if you take too long |)
Saturn version is excellent, lovely 3D buildings. PC version is just
Duke with a egyptian flavour - and it's a bit crap. :]]
KL>But if you're going to argue like that, I might as well point out that the
P
KL>version of Doom was much better than the PSX version. The PSX had funny
KL>coloured sprites, and the sound was up to crap.
I heard PSX Doom had better music and sound?? I only saw the UK
version, which had squashed PAL borders which spoiled it.
