Isn't that one of the things that a goverment is for? Otherwise the big
corporations could run the show. Corporations usually don't have much of an
interest in protecting their customers. Why that is so is an interesting
psychological question -- after all, humans make the decisions even in
corporations, and they can't be all a**holes. ;)

We do have relatively high taxes here, that's certainly right.

Wrong tree. While I have a driver's license, I don't own a car and don't
plan to. Also I can't compare the price as I don't have the faintest idea
of how much a gallon is. ;)
