OK, this is all (two lines):

   basedev=os2aspi.dmd /all /share
   device=d:\os2\boot\aspirout.sys

(I try to use lowercase when I put them in as an aid to memory.) I am using
the latest aspirout.sys (that I know of), aspirb9.zip, downloaded last May,
but it was working with the two prior to that as well. The os2aspi.dmd is
the one that came with aspirout.sys (both are dated 5-17-03).

One of the switches (/all or /share) is crucial to success, and the other
is nice to have, so I use both and don't remember which is which.

Other than those two lines, I simply ran Wohlgemuth's installer. (I already
had DaniS506.ADD, DaniATAPI.FLT, and DaniDASD.DMD -- this is Warp
3/Connect, remember. I believe only DaniATAPI.FLT is crucial. I've also
kept OS2CDROM.DMD updated just in case -- just got a new one a few days
ago.)
