subject: More on OS/2 DVD-RW UDF support

Hi All,

Now that I have this working, I've been doing some experimenting and
the following may be of interest.

PMFormat will not quick format (ie long format not selected) a DVD-RW
disk which was created by the RSJ software, so I suspect formats are
different. I also wont quick format a new (unused) disk (which is
reasonable). It will quick format disks that were long formatted using
PMFormat and then written to / used under OS/2 with no problems.

The readme refers to formatting a DVD (ie starting PMFormat) by right
clicking the drive in the Drives folder - doesn't work - there's no
option to format shown !

If after working away on your DVD-RW you can't get it to eject by
simply pressing the button on the drive don't panic, go to the drives
folder rt click on the drive and select "unlock drive" for some reason
it appears to get locked in the drive by the system. Strangely enough
CD-RW disks aren't locked (CD-RW disks can also be formatted and
written to on the DVD-RW drive).

Cheers/2

Ed.
