We're back to rain today.  More mud!  There's a spot in my paddock that just 
won't drain this year for some reason.  I suspect it's because we've had so 
much rain that the ground is totally saturated.  Fiddle has finally decided 
that walking over it is preferable to staying outside and not getting her 
dinner (g).  I'm going to turn them out this a.m., rain or no, with their 
turnouts on.  They can't spend the entire winter inside, you know!

Wow!  Gun train!  That's not something we think a lot about here.  During 
hunting season, we all stay home anyway, for fear those wondrous hunters will 
shoot us, mistaking us for deer!  Have been reading in rec.eques. about ways 
to prevent your h orses from becoming hunter fodder...one suggestion is to 
paint HORSE in bright orange letters on your poor beasts.  Is there something 
wrong with this picture??
BK :>We've had your weather on the news.. especially Vermont...
Vermont??  MA and NH got hit really hard...some people were without power 
until yesterday.  We're close enough to the coast that we got rain, but just 
a few more miles inland got clobbered.  That really wet snow that takes out 
everything in its path.

Yep.  Lots of cancellations (g).  Seems some of these girls have a real 
aversion to cold....one is cancelling outright for the winter, another will 
come every other week to do non-riding stuff with me (we're working on a book 
I wrote for her...she's doing the illustrations).  It's kind of hard finding 
non-riding things for the older ones to do...you can only clean so much tack 
(g)!  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Geez...some people never forget anything (g)!  Hope to get at least some 
reasonable pix with the digital camera and make a lot of copies to send all 
you guys.  Did I ever send you any of Shiloh?  And you haven't seen any of 
Porky Pig (aka, Fiddle) in some time.

Oh, no.....of course not!  I've pretty much given up drinking...can't stand 
the way I look and feel the next day (g)!
