Hello Tom -

TW> have a LOT of files avaialble for those using DOS and Win3.1

DOS and W31 were 'improved' just about as much as is/was
possible some years ago. For those who know the filenames and
can locate them there is much to add to either DOS or W31. That
is the focus of my tech website. Not to instruct or 'howto' but
to put the filenames and locations (links) to those files in
one place where interested persons can 'update' their DOS or
W31 installs.

Not more than a few years ago I had an old '386 machine
multitasking in DOS (Desqview) using Pktmux to maintain
multiple connections to the Internet via IRC, telnet, and Lynx.

TW> Despite what some here would like us to believe there is
TW> still a good sized installed base of OS's before Win98/ME.
TW> And for many people upgrading to WinXP would be a Criminal
TW> Waste of money.

I continue to use DOS (using it now for FIDO) and my W31
machine because some of the software is just so darned
dependable and it works! There are other similar apps on my W2K
machine but they are an over-blown bloated user interface that
only get in the way when I don't need all the bells and
whistles to get things done. :-)
