     I had been told that conures can live anywhere from 25 to 50 years. This
  was from an old bird keeper in our area. He had raised just about every 
ind
  of bird at one  time or another. (He died a couple of years ago - we still
  miss his good advice!)
     He had also told us tiels could liveup to 25 years. We now have one that
  is
  15 and is still healthy, so I hope he's right!

    I also have a 15 year old tiel. I got him back in 1980 and he's
still doing well. He does show his age a bit more though. Thanks for the
info. Could you tell me the price range where you are at for sun
Conures? They are quite a bit high priced up this far north. I can
remember them going for forty bucks around here at one time. Now they
are asking $550.00 at the pet shops around here.
