subject: SALT Tutorials?

Hi Rimu,

Tutorials?

Tough luck! I was addressed by him personally, telling me that I could mail
him for his script... Oh, I didn't get the source, by the way ;-)
TM>> I'm not much of a sweet-talker, you know? I speak SALT much better

RA> I havn't been able to use salt effectively, as I am useless at C and
++.
RA> What sort of stuff have you written using Salt?
Ah, just a few scripts to log in on several BBS's. And I've edited the QDhost
v3.22 a bit to make it work with other Telix-systems too. There was a little
problem when other Telix-users logged in on my Telix-host, having to do with
echo-ing characters in CHAT-mode...
The original script always echoes recieved characters in chatmode, but normal
chatmode assumes that sent characters are not echoed back, and sets up an
internal compensation... Therefor any Telix caller gets a double echo when
chatting with a Telix-host, even with local echo off. I fixed that...
I also did some other unspeakable things to that QDHost script, I don't even
remember what they were... ;-)
RA> Holland eh? I hear thay have some pretty lax drug laws there?
Yeah... I'm on coke all the time. The real Coke, I mean! (Always Coca
la...)
TM>> And, what's more: Programs like TimEd and NetMgr find their way
TM>> throughout the world, originating from here...
RA> I guess that alot of them people d/l them off the Net or something.
Guess so... as long as they use Telix, there's nothing wrong about mentioning
it... ;-)
TM>> But now we're way off-topic. We don't want to upset Mark, do we?
RA> Not really, I've done that too many times already... :)
Too bad...
